Isis Pharmaceuticals

Isis is an industry leader in drug discovery and development. The Company’s central focus is to advance antisense core chemistry to generate pharmacologically improved antisense drugs. Isis’s proprietary 2’-methoxyethyl (2’MOE) chemistry improves therapeutic parameters of antisense drugs. Capitalizing on this, FOLIGO is working in collaboration with Isis to co-develop FOLIGO 002, an MOE-modified antisense drug for treatment of ovarian cancer. Initial developmental milestones are being accomplished under a FOLIGO/Isis Material Transfer Agreement. Long-term milestones will further require a FOLIGO/Isis in-licensing arrangement, in addition to an appropriate out-licensing partner.
